Local HR is hinting at benefits changes that are about to roll out. Any rumor on what they are?

Is this change only for non-retirees at end of VSP or is it also for retirees?

No change yet, purported email will be sent in a couple weeks regarding options at end of VSP payout.
I have BCBS now and it works great for my family. Excellent coverage. The high deductible plan might be a better option than the PPO with Oxy matching in the HSA.
The hits just keep coming! BCBS is terrible compared to Aetna. It looks like coverages and deductibles are going to force employees into a PPO.
No email, what is the change?
Looks like Aetna is gone as an option. – I suspect that has nothing to do with OXY specifically, But rather CVS's acquisition of Aetna a year or so ago. CVS has been trying to become a one-stop insurance company. It bought Aetna and also a PBM. Probably they were trying to push OXY to move away from Express Scripts, and "bundle" everything with CVS.
Probably simply a negotiation OXY did wish to accept.
I'd be curious though – If I recall, Retiree medical was EXCLUSIVELY with Aetna. Any retirees out there ? - Have you heard if your coverage is sticking with Aetna or being replaces with BCBS?

I received an email today around 10am that had a link to all of the changes for “Open Enrollment” for 2021.
I think OP is alluding to not-yet-announced changes
Read your email. Duh!
