Now the big m has announced 6100 positions that they will be hiring for the holidays...after laying off more than 3200 positions, this is a joke! Of course they will only be hired at minimum wage, good luck to those associates...hired in at minimum wage!

What a joke. This company is so shameful now.
All the waste of money and time trying to develop people! They could have avoided all that waste. BTW, think more than 3200 were let go. If it wasn't for financial need people would go where they are valued.
Plus to add to the above post. M will find a few holiday they wanna keep at that low wage and can off the lazy associates who make a dollar more.
M will only need them Thanksgiving Day pulling fulfillment, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Dec 26, NYE, and NYD. Then after all of that, M will boast about how supportive they are of their colleagues and how valued they are (giving up their holidays for low pay and working in a severely understaffed store)
