You mean like the huge compensation packages other employees received? Kurians package will be greater than the total of all the employees he has fired to keep his job.
No, Tom is a really smart dude and took a huge compensation package in retirement to sit on a startup board that has almost no chance or options for an exit. If you get that opportunity, you should absolutely take it.
