Had less than 10 people come in that day. None of them passed the background check. All seemed to be good candidates with the retail experience we need.
So hard to maintain positive when last year we hired 25 and started 18.
I understand the need for background checks when selling guns but for a cashier or a stocking associate making $10/hour? The rules need to be relaxed when we are in this situation. The cost to the company for phone screens, interview s with managers and failed background checks and/or d–g tests - and we have nothing to show for it
