Did Eric Brandt really laugh in the last meeting?

EB is a douchbag who can't relate to any employees on the frontlines. I met him at a xmas party for Esurance right after he came over from State Farm and completely screwed up our total loss processes to try and make it "better" all so the insured wouldn't have to talk to a different adjuster who understands how to settle their total loss, so the poor liability adjuster got the task of dealing with it in addition to their regular tasks. The liability adjuster was not trained or experienced in settling total loss claims and couldn't answer any questions and thus frustrated the insureds all because some survey stated that the insured didn't like to having to talk to different adjusters on the same claim. He sat down at our table for 2 minutes and spout off some stupid property damage numbers that seemed to excite him while the whole table stared at him in disbelief. He caught the social cue, looked around and excused himself.
It’s true, he’s also referred to transformative growth as his “favorite subject” and has said “exciting times at Allstate” on numerous occasions. Tone deaf. I’m 59 and I’ve been with Allstate for 35 years so I screwed up the assessment on purpose and luckily I did a good job at it because I was not selected so, I’m taking the money and I’m gonna run. Retirement time baby!

Anyone who uses the term "exciting times!" in such a happy way when the enterprise they are over are going through the widespread stress and anxiety of mass layoffs is just a bona fide scumbag and piece of arrogant self-entitled sh*t.

I don’t think so unless it was a nervous laugh. I really think he’s handled himself with the utmost class and integrity throughout this transformation!
