So who is going to step in this time and keep the plant open as it's supposed to close its doors July 9 2022

Announcement officially made, De pere and Chemung back under Greg Engles control. We all know who he looks out for!

Hearing now that the deal For Chemung and DePere will be announced by the end of this month. Greg Engles (Borden) and investment team along with CEO Mike McCloskey (Select Milk Producers) will pair up in a joint venture. Stay tuned.

Ok. To the "insider" with all the sources. You said by today. What happened? What are your sources saying about this delay.

Not a paid subscriber so don't know if Depere and Franklin are mentioned in the article, but headline from the November issue of The Milkweed reads:
"Rumor: Borden Poised to Acquire Chemung, IL Fluid Plant (p. 2): Our sources indicate that Gregg Engle$, CEO of Borden Dairy, will be awarded the ex-Dean Foods fluid milk plant in northern Illinois."

When you go to the site and click on current issue it still says October at the top but it's the November issue.

Yeah, Milkweed = yellow muck raking rag blah, blah, blah but almost all of the reporting over the years on Dean Foods and DFA has been accurate even when its seemed unbelievable at first.

Its now past the weekend. Why no deal yet? Your source said the deal was done.

As long as they get rid of the 2 trash department heads, and the plant manager, everything should be fine.

51/49% sounds about right. I think the rumor becomes reality in the next couple of days, if not this week possibly next week. I am told the deal is done, just crossing the I's and Dotting the T's. Believe what you want. All of the "new Borden plants "are separate entities, protect the new owners and give them the flexibility to sell off or shut down plants they are not really interested in.

By "source" do you mean the same tired rumor floating around for months? Let's see. Was it the 51% Borden 49% select?

My Source Says announcement as early as this Friday. A group led by Greg Engle/Borden and other partners. We should all know pretty soon if i am right!

Rumor is its someone so aligned with and controlled by DFA that for all practical purposes it will be DFA buying from DFA.

With almost certainty buyer of two midwest plants is none other than Greg Engle. Hopefully round two goes better than the first go round. Although i think he made his money the first time around????

So, the franklin ma plant sale fell thru. The other two plants have a potential buyer. This has been extended out several times already. The doj asked for the sale as of may1st. Franklin ma plant asked for another extention because "supposedly" there was a potential buyer. We were informed last week that sale fell thru. Not sure where that leaves franklin ma. Our excessive extensions are up in November.

Layman's terms are that the DOJ stated when approving the sale of the Dean Foods plants to DFA that they saw a monopoly in 2 areas and wanted DFA to sell the plants in DePere, WI, Chemung, IL, and Franklin, MA to avoid that monopoly. The order ordering that the sale of those 3 facilities has to happen was just approved by a judge. DFA has 30 days to sell those 3 facilities. But that 30 day period can be extended another 60 days. Rest is all details (new owners will get rights to use Dean Foods, Dairy Pure and Tru Moo brands if they want, etc.) and legal BS.
So there may be a buyer already lined up but who that buyer is or might be isn't mentioned in the order.

Could someone please put this in layman's terms, the second link here is all over the board with judicial terms, please get to the point, either there is a buyer or there isn't.
