MPLS and Team are long gone. The D team did well for a few years, Insieme transferred a large group to CSG which is so slow and they k–led any innovation and speed. Large cuts were due because they weren’t delivering. This is the typical repeat after MPLS leave. D team does good for a few years, then Cisco F’s it up.
I don’t know the exact numbers but was told there are big cuts because some of the recently released product lines were deemed unprofitable. Allegedly, those specific product lines and many of the people working on them got pushed out. Could very well be near 30% from the rumor mill of names I know and heard about getting LR’d and vets that took ER. Many known and respected high performers at that. Unless the Cisco magicians pull a rabbit out of a switch chassis I guess they finally gave up trying to compete with Arista.
