Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Thanksgiving Day Parade

Anybody else really happy that Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year will be much more subdued and cost much less (at least I assume it will?) That way, the money that would otherwise be spend on something frivolous can be used for something useful - like employee pay and stuff like that?

I stopped caring about the parade a long time ago. Like someone else said, it's completely boring, and not worth my time.

Meh. I stopped watching the parade years ago. It's just one continuous commercial for NBC actors and the shows on that network. Boring!

I'd rather watch the dog show!

Please! Macy's never spent a dime on the parade. Advertisers paid for it. The parade helped you to keep your job(if you still have one). I was laid off in June, btw.
