Can a store manager fire/ replace a ops/visual for not doing one side of their job ? My ops has someone else do visual side of their job. ?

You seriously need to move on! This is the most ridiculous post I have seen. You were clearly kept on for a reason. Do you not realize it is all about delegation. One person can not do it all. It is called team work and clearly you do not understand the concept. Be glad you still have a job!

They DON’T!!! Their reply was saying (in general) your OVM is good because they know how to delegate!!! Duh!!!

You actually have a good OVM in your store who knows how to delegate to more talented people. OVMs were thrown in that job with zero visual experience, what did you expect? Just excel in what you're in the store for and stop being envious and jealous.

The OVM and visual captain in my store now expects the support team to do all visual and Christmas displays including hanging balls from the ceiling. We sign, merchandise, markdowns, fulfillment and empty and process the truck. Most of the team have between 10 years to 20 years of service and are in their 50’s and 60’s. We are a very hard working and dedicated group of people but climbing ladders at this stage of the game is a bit too much to ask.
You have a great idea and time saver ! Simply post signs that read sale 3x and leave them up!
Most of the OVMs have no visual experience and don't want to do visual or care about it. So it makes sense the visual captain is doing all the visual work.
lend a hand instead of posting nonsense. He or She is lucky to get help. He or she wouldn't be able to execute 50% of the job alone anyway without help. Ie changing triptych signs at the doors wouldn't happen...it would say Sale Sale Sale all the time lol !

How many OVM's does your store have? Mine has a few and each one has a more specified role based on their background. Also, does you store not have a visual captain?
Where have you been??? It's been everyone doing everything...when the titanic was sinking don't you think the bartender helped load life boats??? The concept of everyone has a certain job is ludicrous. Everyone has to entertain the few customers that do come in.... I've loaded mattresses into people's trucks...What I don't understand is the negative attitudes....get with the program and try and survive this ....
