Just received a meeting invite from our director, the whole team is invited including our manager. Am I safe or is the whole team LR’d?

Check if there's HR. My team had a director, my manager, someone from HR and multiple coworkers to let us know we were being LR.
Did you have 1:1 for other team members before that maybe?
We also have a 1:Many at director level but some team members have been let go already before that.
Good luck!
last time this happened it was because our manager was impacted.
More likley informing the team that those on the call are safe. Reassure and reboot.
Maybe you will get to see live music performance and a clown show.
Sounds ominous...and not unprecedented. You'll want to record that meeting.
Which part of the company?
I remember couple of years ago the whole Cloud team was let go by a VP using webex, so no one call tell what that invite is for?
Remember that day at BXB site 2018 , all team were cut in the meeting
I've got a 1 to many as well with a director. My manager isn't included, but it's all our H1Bs and our US based LATAM support team. There's an HR rep included as well.
4 years ago Director sent 1:1 invite late afternoon for 10am meeting next day, whole team arrived in meeting room and got axed, but Manager kept his job
Definitely gone, we went through the same.
Axed
See if a HR person is included in the invite, if so your whole team is axed.
Typically the manager is informed a few days before their staff are told. Some years ago my friend was the manager and he said he was only told days before and then all his team, I think 10 to 15 people were all called for a meeting and all told that the department was closing. In fact, I heard "relocated" to Canada and India.
It would be against HR policy in a time like this for a Director to schedule a meeting with a large group and leaving specific people off the invite. That can be held against a company in some weird legal way. They would not layoff an entire team in a large group either. I believe those invited to this meeting are not affected. If others on your team were not invited, it is extremely shady to do it that way.
Or maybe it is to let you know your peers got axed and this year there is nothing for you to worry about
maybe its just an all-hands letting everyone know that there is nothing to worry about?!
