Yes, because it definitely make sense to “save the VPs” & the sales.
Just get rid of the real producers.

Both VP will survive and half of the shop and engineering team will be let go in each group. But engineering directors and managers will be kept to forward emails and attend meetings. Sales teams will stay untouched.
