Voluntary Retirement Program Coming Soon

Soon PFNA will announce a voluntary retirement program. This appears to be the first signal of more layoffs to come.

why would PFNA send that email to everyone when it only applies to those near retirement - a small % of the total population? can I get free money at 28?

be careful about being fearless with these backtabbers, remember HR works for your boss, not you !

They say to speak up fearlessly. Why arent the pbna emoloyees who are close to.rrtirement speaking up about how unfair it is to offer voluntary buyouts to just pfna employees. The pbna employees who are close to retirement have busted their butts all these years too. SPEAK UP FEARLESSLY

PFNA has been a retirement program since I joined it, everyone does the bare minimum

My advise for pepsi beverage employees who survive this is to switch to the PFNA for remainder of your pepsi career. They get much better benfits than the beverage side of the business

You don’t have to take the offer. They are offering it to provide space for younger employees, and to cut cost. It’s a good thing. Normally you might get the same package without them even offering it to those who might want it. In that instance you have people forced, when others really want a buyout.

The food service side is what saves the earnings report every quarter and they are cutting them instead of the beverage ? Are they that stupid? I have done very little on beverage side of business since March I wonder why they meep me employed

Those who receive these offers are the fortunate ones, although it may not seem like it right now.

Yes take the offer. You’re already on the list.

I'm 38. I'd take it tomorrow if they offered it. I'm tired of the unaccountable bureaucrats in this company. Same goes for the social woke-ness. We're staffing up on women and blacks, sending the rest off to India.

I'm confused why food would offer it and not Beverage. Food is doing much better than beverage, and beverage will have too many people with business closings.

Can you provide the details of the 'offer?' Is it a certain number of weeks pay for each year that you've worked? Do you get to keep Health Insurance? The decision to accept the offer (or not) is very personal. If someone is thinking about retiring anyway, this could be a sweet deal.

Just received my "you have been identified" notice. If I don't take it, will I be let go anyway in 2021? Too young to retire, but too old for FLNA. Hopefully there is another company that will actually appreciate my talents.

So unfair. Pepsico has offerred voluntary buyouts for PFNA but at this time no plans to do the same at PBNA. I should have went to work for frito 40 years ago and not the beverage side as we are treated differently yet owned by same company.
