Belk is going to pure store managers and STM’s galore in early 2021. Some stores will have an STM as “acting store manager”. Regional’s will also be on the chopping block. Store Managers enjoy your cushy job while it lasts.

Belk is operating like a warehouse that just happens to allow people to come in and shop. I can assure you after the holidays when sales tank, high paid store managers, STM's who are now just glorified fulfillment associates will be let go, if the company does not file chapter 11 first. Anyone who thinks that these articles about Belk's demise are false, either is dumb or a corporate shill.
Most called back furloughs are going to fulfillment, not to the sales floor or their previous departments. Come January, what will happen to all these "new" fulfillment associates?
That’s a smokescreen the company is still doing poorly, very poorly they are trying to project an image that everything is ok so they can shuffle through the holidays, but come next year when store sales and online sales drop, the shyt will hit the fan.

2021 is generous. With charity weekend happening now instead of November, the chopping may begin as soon as next week. 🤷🏽♀️
Sears did this a year before they closed. Some stores only had one true "manager", everyone else was a key holder "lead"
