I don’t think anyone with their right mind would see RSI as such... they are on par with our acquisition of the water disaster. Their example of dragonfly still makes me laugh ....

When I had heard REsideo, I immediately thought "yay! a shout out to RSI Video." Alas, it was a bad portmanteau of Residence and Presideo.
Now I keep saying "left behind technologies" in my head.
Yes, it caused some amusement amongst the more observant at the time it was announced!! Very well chosen, despite the weird explanation prior to spin that it was a combination of Residence and Presidio. That explanation didn't even make sense as it should then have been Residio.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was a deliberate FU from HW.
