Best of luck to those moving on. I was LR'd three years ago. Miss Cisco but sounds like it has changed much since 2017.
It is a big world out there. Keep your skills up to date and you will be in high demand.
Honestly can say I love working on network and IT stuff in general still. Wish Cisco the best but seeing first hand almost every day how other vendors are chipping away at each enterprise's once almost exclusive Cisco footprint.
To those staying for the long ride: stay current. Really understand and be able to demonstrate how other OEMs are morphing the landscape. Set up AWS stuff and know virtualization. Turn it into a hobby. Be ready.
After what I heard I am glad I took the package ON TIME! Some will be sorry they missed the bus.
So sorry for those of you who didn't take ER. The majority of you will be gone in the next two rounds.

All companies have good and bad.
Biggest question for each of us: will I be employed this time next year. Not sure at all where any of the economy or the world is going.

@qec+17fFK4eD, come on, it was already a corporate world under JC who told us Cisco would never do layoff because the bonus was used to buffer an economy down term. Then he laid off employees and there was no bonus. Cisco is an Sales company. And you know what the used car sales would tell you.
