Siemens Digital Industries Software “Restructuring”

We were notified yesterday morning from Sr. Marketing Leadership that the team will be “restructuring” to run more efficient. With this announcement they will be eliminating Zone marketing positions across the globe and replacing them with a sole global position. I am not aware of additional restructuring efforts taking place, but I hope everyone effected finds a new opportunity.

The entire organization is forced to restructure due the impact COVID. It's the perfect storm of a new technological automated generation compounded with a global pandemic. The company's first priority is profit not the people. Siemens leadership will be breaking off certain parts of the buisness starting Jan 1 in looking at long term profitability for specific industries they participate in. Yes unfortunately this means many people will be out of a job.

It's like the new EVP Marketing has no idea how to do her job.

I posted the Digital Industries restructuring comment in early October above... since then many have had to interview for a new role (or the same role depending on the % change in the scope of work), those took place late-October to mid-November and we have yet to see a division wide announcement on the new org... which was suppose to be out by 12/1. Many of us are in limbo as we are still waiting to hear if we have a role, so it makes sense a larger email hasn’t been released. In all, it has been a very messy and unorganized situation, HR had had little / no involvement and the lack of communication is very frustrating. I had to ask if they were going to be setting up an interview for the position I was told I should apply for, their reply “yeah, I need to get around to that...”

I hoped HR and / or Sr Leadership would hold the hiring managers accountable to a timely and professional process to this as it impacts employees’ career and personal lives (income, families), but I am wrong. Lack of accountability seems to flow through the entirety of DISW.
