Has anyone received more than they were expecting for severance.

So just to update. I’m an honest person and couldn’t just keep the money. They paid me double what I should have been paid. So I call and let them know THEY made a mistake. Their fix is to tell me to not touch any of the money until they can figure out how to fix it. Their fix?
Don’t touch the money until we take it all back and issue a new severance deposit. So now that I’ve waited 5 weeks to get this money I need to pay my bills because I lost a job through no fault of my own, their response is.... ummm wait longer sorry.
This place is a joke.
