Everyone who currently works at Belk KNOWS what I’m talking about! There is always some form of restructuring or another. Change after change after change with layoffs only compounding the problem. I bet most of us aren’t given the hours we deserve and yet at the same time we are being overworked due to lack of staffing. My store manager is seldom seen on the floor and I have to constantly chase him down every time there is a problem I can’t resolve. And that's just a sampling of everyday problems here. Raise your hand if you’re having the same issues.

Belkorbust, it's the same here, yet sometimes in the evenings there is no support in fulfillment. It's just one person expected to meet their picking quota, do BOPIS, expedited and pack every hour. Don't forget you gotta show packing every hour!! Fulfillment is THE thing now. Screw the customers who come in., If you're not picking or packing then they don't need you there.
As for the store manager, I have no idea what he's doing. Sometimes he's out doing a little recovery, but mostly I think it's a whole bunch of nothing.
Sycamore partners does not care about Belk employees. The company directive is that STH is the priority. Sad!!! I am no longer a Belk employee bc of the way they treated their associates and customers after Covid. It was bad before....but now. I have no words. You know what managers care and fight for you! Try your best for them, then when you’re done you’re done. I personally couldn’t benefit from being there anymore and watching my coworkers (friends) be unhappy.
GA store manger only cares about online orders/fulfillment also! He hires incompetent people when he is told not to. He threatens people and lies all the time. Regional managers don't have a clue what they are doing when they come into the store. Merchandise theft is a huge problem but they don't actually report it to corporate because inventory is only done once a year. There is no way this company can survive with this management team!
My store is so focused on fulfillment it's ridiculous. There will be various issues throughout the store, but fulfillment is more important than any of those.
our store manager does very little, mostly eating and drinking coffee all day.
