You can count on more layoffs in the near future. GE Healthcare has no meaningful focus, and is even looking for potential buyers. GE is a dinosaur whose business model may have worked decades ago, but is not compatible with today's business environment.
I have recently seen GEHC RIF some of the most talented employees in the company, and retain some who add absolutely no value. The leadership can only offer flashy business jargon when faced with real challenges like producing a strategic plan to save the company.
Take the advice the others have contributed and move on asap. This is not, and will likely never be place you want to build a fulfilling career

Given recent attrition by new and old not affected by RIF, do you mean is that enough to save me job?
For real, unless you're in an area where GE is the only game in town, why do people even stay and take the abuse? Long hours and busy work. I mean the mental Kool-Aid they serve doesn't even taste good. This place is just unseasoned, weird and I don't get the loyalty RIF after RIF.

"If you are looking for a company that offers little opportunity for advancement, allows pet agendas to flourish while the house burns down, and asks employees to deliver on impossible objectives than consider GE your employer of choice."

Your whole post is spot on. I'm newer and feel like I'm in some alternate universe.

The hiring freeze and heavy thinning of the herd on round one have right sized the ship. Some folks are hanging around through year end when the pension is frozen, and hoping for an exit package in the near future. Given how miserable employees are that work here, I would also expect further attrition as the economy starts to improve mid-2021. What will be left is a bunch of underperformers with low to middling expectations, along with lots of rhetoric about our "lean journey" as FMI's flourish and quality continues to tank. If you are looking for a company that offers little opportunity for advancement, allows pet agendas to flourish while the house burns down, and asks employees to deliver on impossible objectives than consider GE your employer of choice.

People want to know if layoffs are coming. They are always coming at GE, especially if you work in a high-cost country like the US. If don't want to live the rest of your life in fear, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to work. I'm not being snarky, just trying to be honest. I'm a long-time GE employee, who toughed it out. But if you don't want to work for a company that "grows by shrinking" look for another opportunity.
