I work under the union here at Disney world Orlando will I be affected by the layoffs? I can’t get a clear answer please help!

Yes, union Cast Members ARE part of these 28,000 layoffs. The unions are working out details now on what the severance packages will look like. To my knowledge, all those who will be laid-off have already been identified, even if many have not been contacted yet. But, layoffs already began yesterday (Wednesday), as company offices in Celebration (including the cruise line) have already been significantly affected.
I wonder if its furloughed cast only or the small amount of cast that have returned also that might be laid off.
I think the answer is that it's unknown at this time. They need to discuss and come to an agreement with the unions before announcing anything
We'll see how well the unions protect their members in the coming weeks. This is from today's email:
We will be scheduling appointments with our affected salaried and non-union hourly employees over the next few days. Additionally, today we will begin the process of discussing next steps with unions.
