Just got laid off. After 27 years. Not sure what to do? Cry or just laugh ! Pratt I will still love you no matter what. Thank you for paying for my Mortage, my kids tuition for last 27 years. You will be always be a part of my heart. The only complain I have is I wish I had Bob Leduc as a CEO when they let me go
This afternoon. Time to focus on my kids and family. I work in engineering.

Sorry to hear about the job loss.
27 years is a hell of a commitment, hopefully they took care of you with a nice separation package after nearly 30 years.
Sorry to hear that and good luck.
God bless you!
OP - such a great and graceful post. Kudos to you. And good job raising the family and having a great career.
It is sad it had to end this way but judging based on our personality, experience and outlook you'll have no problems to move on and do even better.
Godspeed!
These mfrs waiting until the afternoon to let people go? Now I know why people use to say I’ll never go back or ever work at Pratt. That was the talk in the CT area 15-20 years ago. Looks like there will be another group of folks that will say that now 20 years later.
Sorry to hear it. What was severance like we are all worried
Were you in a value added role? Or one of the many experienced engineers who just sat in judgement of others. Too bad they let go people who enjoy there job, I know plenty who don't.
Who got it in your area?
Yes EH
Sorry to hear that. East hartford?
