Have been in walmart management for 20 years and can say I am applaud at this company .We are currently seeing are country going through a pandemic ,social unrest and some are experiencing job lost and finacial hardships.This company could of easily put GWP on hold till spring.We have mothers and fathers who are now worrying about their future.They have worked daily in this Covid environment for a company who has greatly benefited from this pandemic.How do they respond.They tell some they no longer have jobs,They will take positions now assigned to them.New schedules that some are not able to adjust to because of their kids ,some in school, some going 2 days of school.
Asstitant managers and coaches made to move to other stores ,regardless of home situation.Asstitant managers have to find another position if not selected and if your an older asstitant ,your done.Have these associates not had enough to deal with.I have been in business for 40 years,business is business but not right now.I have had mothers ,who are department managers,tell me they can’t sleep because they are worried about their futures.I am leaving this company,while I still have a conscience

They are not human they care about no one , only about money ,filling their greedy pockets living their lavish lifestyles! Really makes me feel sad and almost embarrassed to say that I work for a company like this.
It happened to me the other day too. Moved to a location I’ve never worked in ,a area I never cared for OR go into a hunger games lottery with other individuals whom made the same decision and hope the odds or ‘favoritism’ are in your favor. I’ve been with this company for 20+ years and this must be the most dehumanizing and subjugating spawn we have ever done. I say ‘we’ because I am choosing to make a deal with this devil to support my family and frankly my fears of the job market. Im not looking for pity as I’ve looked in the mirror and made some peace with myself though the bile is tastable daily. Several of my peers chose to quit or face the lottery rather than leave what they love though it’s clearly not going to last or be the same in 30 days. I both applaud and feel pity for what they must be thinking but don’t wish Ill on those who did land where they wanted. I guess I just want to remind myself that the company is a great big uncaring global machine now and we are all interchangeable parts, some worn some redundant, some obsolete. Heart and ownership are the opiate to keep us satisfied in the concrete stress cubes we’ve chosen to stand under. I Prattle on so I’ll end it here with A hope many of us land on our feet during this sh–show and take those moment to see what’s important in this life.

And to the lady who wrote this regarding leaving the company may god bless you and may you have the best future any one can ask for. If you can do a favor and bring this up to news channels and make this known the issues the company is causing
Let Walmart mess up with these changes let them do it because when the lawsuits stack up from COVID cases and them not letting people stay home with their kids or stay home from fear of people getting it and spreading it to their family members or getting their family members sick the company with want sympathy and no one will show any they wanna improve their stocks or wheat ever. Either or this is by far the most selfish move the company has ever done and it will have a lot of rising issues with it and when that happens associates and managers that actually care will not want to hear anything from the higher ups simple as that.
It was all telling for me when Doug McMillon did a televised interview last Spring and decided to speak for all Associates regarding Hazard Pay and Covid – basically saying that most associates were not concerned with that issue – we are there because we all want to serve the community – the master of spin was at it again. You never even bothered to check with us before opening your mouth. And the same is true with how they have handled the whole Covid situation internally – when folks were confirmed with a positive case – we were never informed. Something about HIPPA laws – well, we are not asking for the name of the individual – just confirmation of an active case(s) within the store. Its just common decency – which we don't appear to have much of in this environment. And now, the implementation of GWP as we get ready to go into a second phase of Covid – and right before the holidays – SHAMEFUL! We are just a disposable WIN number on their T-Map of life – and it is never more evident than it is right now. There truly is life beyond Walmart – jump this sinking ship while you still can.
Been with Walmart nearly 13 years and and ASM for over 3 years; was told today that to continue to move up it'd be ideal for me to work in a neighboring state. Not happening.
