This site is being monitored by NOV management and they DO have post removed. Seems odd that posts that make no mention of a name, merely statements one has made publicly would be considered for removal.

I think you are right when you say, there are some good IT people, my brother in law works for Chevron and he is ranked as one of their best IT guys, but here, it seems the IT guys are just to laid back and could care less if anything gets done, sorry, just what i have seen.

Do i keep tabs on everything i see? No, its just not right. Just be aware, people are watching and taking notes, not just me.

Lately it's been rough throughout the company with all the lay offs happening. My job is to keep tabs on the social media sites and if i find people abusing the system i keep tabs on them. Recently i was asked to hand over my notes on the people that abuse our system and constantly stays on social media. You would be surprised how many spend hours a day on Facebook alone. Several people were let go from Holmes Road a couple weeks ago for this. They are looking for anyway they can to get rid of people, be careful what you do and say.
BS, it has nothing to do with people working hard or slacking around, It’s brownosers vs people that believe they shouldn’t have to be a brownoser
I was not just hired, sorry for my earlier explanation. I have been here now over 2 years but yes, my job is to monitor social media. Many people play on computer instead of working. Some people look at things that they should not.We do have software that can stop some sites from opening but there are ways around this and many have found out.
The worst has been bringing in all the Slum Burger people who wouldn’t have gone any further there, but here they get better jobs.
Especially that one running the numbers for Wellbore.
If NOV hired an IT professional to monitor this and other sites I wouldn't be surprised. Their hyper-sensitive interest in social media would make monitoring and intervening fit. It would also make sense since for about 10 years now they've been more concerned with covering up bad news than fixing it no matter what the circumstance was.
So, NOV has hired an IT person to monitor this site. With all the IT people they have, there was not one that could monitor this site. I guess they laid off the wrong people once again. NOV is like a ship with a broken rudder. It has no idea of where it’s going, it’s drifting in the wind waiting to go down. They have, since management changed, and the new generation of id–ts took over, have been hiding behind the numbers that they manipulated to fool investors into keeping their tickets on this doomed ship.
Check the site's rules. Chances are you are breaking them if your posts are getting deleted.
Its true, i have made several post about a specific location and they always get removed. Sadly that location is probably the one woth the most sketchy stuff going on.
What are they doing to do? Lay you off? For many, that ship has sailed.
I’m sure there are plenty of people that have had unethical- and I mean truly unethical- things happen to them and they are just one bad day away from reporting.
If you do decide to do that, do it to their auditors at EY. As bad as they are, they love finding things to nail companies to the wall.
Whoa! Whoa! Hold on people! I was hired into IT to monitor certain people on their computers and this site but i am not getting rich doing that.
Well it’s good to see that NOV management is capable of doing something other than make themselves richer.
