Retail can be a career if you want it to be. If you live in a large city with high end stores you can make a pretty penny. As far as MT sleeping at night..this is not a Mom and Pop store with 10 people. Large companies lay off people all the time. That is how business works. Times change..the way people shop now is much different then how they shipped 10 years ago..even 5

An ex employee with no life whatsoever posting in a job they haven't worked in years.
It's a retail job not a career. You want stability in your life get out of retail and move on from your old job. MT will continue to lay off employees and close stores as needed. Just like any CEO trying to save a struggling company and answering to shareholders. It's time to let go and move on.
