Thread regarding Pratt and Whitney layoffs

this is the week (east hartford)

a friend in J building said a shipment of 6,000 boxes came in this week, he asked a shop steward about it and he said each laid off person gets 3 boxes ea. Expect 2,000 gone from east hartford by the end of the week. makes sense also since Thursday is the first

PLDC is platoon leaders development course and is the basic leadership training lower non-commissioned officers receive on how to lead soldiers. It is now called WLC (warriors leader course) unless that's been changed again.

I like that the poster brought up PLDC with how much the administration has a hard on for Thayer / West Point. Grunts know how to lead and manage people, officers know how to deal with supply chains and logistics. It shows in this whole ordeal.

Boxes are required. They have to empty our desks for us then mail the contents. So, it makes perfect sense and being discreet about the delivery well, maybe they could have been more 🤔 tactful about it like every other thing that has occurred thus far. Boxes can be stored so as far as the date goes well good luck everyone.

I saw the boxes being snuck through L connector at 10:00PM Monday night. Each box had a name on it, and a rubber fist neatly placed inside.

And that is why GOOD leaders keep their people informed. I learned that in" ivy league " PLDC in the Army. Lol

Seeing a meeting on some Associate Director’s calendars at Pratt in my leadership chain for Wednesday morning (tomorrow) at 9:30 AM called “P&W President - Leadership and Manager Call”. That’s all I can see but there’s more after that in parentheses. It’s scheduled for an hour. Must be some announcement tomorrow morning about something.

The boxes could be in the shipping well in J Building, or deliver to well 2 L Building, or inside a trailer, or box truck.

Who knows. They could have already been moved around

Just walked all of J building, No boxes to be found. 6,000 boxes would probably take up some room, even if they were flattened on a skid.

Tired of having this cloud of gloom hanging over my head!
