Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

More Firings Next Friday

My source says thousands and thousands will be laid off. They’re going to lay off everyone next Friday, then they are going to call everyone who has worked for Chesapeake in the past 10 years and lay them off from their current jobs, too.

And whoever you work for currently, you’ll lose any stocks you’ve been given from that company too.

Wow. Crazy times.

The ones getting laid off didn’t test positive for COVID. Not sure how they picked but eventually they will run a skeleton crew until another company comes in and buys CHK out.

Chesapeake is not a viable business anymore. It will be gone unless something amazing happens with oil prices. So even if you have survived the most recent layoff, start looking NOW for your next job so that when your name is called, you have a place to go. Don't assume you have a 50-50 chance of survival; you don't. The company's remaining assets will be liquidated, and the asses let go.

Line them up. And head them out the door. Chk needs about 500 employees - or less on campus.

This OP is trolling the several insiders that try and offer a legit glance into CHK’s spiral of death.
There are not thousands and thousands employees left, silly....
Headcount is in the 1,600+ after the almost 300-heads reduction from September 18th.
However, sadly, when the assets liquidation process finally commences, we will see many more heads rolling.
Stay close to your cellular phone, as someone below suggested.

And then those laid off personnel will also be designated as positive Covid19 cases by the CDC

I think there are more coming in the future, without a doubt. As properties are sold, the Techs,Pumpers,Foremen,Supts and Engineers that are tied to that property will be laid off, I am sure. That being said, there are too many wells, Compressor stations etc., that you must have someone go by and check on. If all are laid off in every BU, without people on standby, it would by an Environmental Catastrophe.
Stop spreading lies!!
