Health care coverage?

Got a letter regarding the RJ health care continuation options and COBRA. Not sure what I need or should pay and what RJ will provide at no cost to us (per what I understood). Can someone help?

I spoke with Courtney at the Taben group and she that RJ is carrying the COBRA coverage and according to her, once we sign the COBRA letter and send it in to them, they in turn hand it over to RJ to cover the premiums for 1 year, The only reason they had all that other info was to show you what it will cost if you want to continue it after the 1 year has ended. Also they were given a short turn around time to get the packages out to us and didn't have time to customize the letter. If you have any questions contact cmaggio@taben.com

HR said fill out the application and send it back to Taben group WITHOUT PAYMENT. It’s very important to send in the application to Taben Group.

I don’t understand the COBRA letter either and have emailed Health and Wellness in HR for clarification. I’ll let you know what I learn.

I want to take the option where RJ pays COBRA but same as some postings here, if I sign and return my severance package paperwork, is that all? Will we receive some notification saying we are covered. Wouldn't like to find I did not send something and then I have no coverage.

I have received mails regarding the health coverage and not completely sure if I need to send something back or include a payment. Can some one help the few of us who are not sure? I had never had to check this things during the 2 decades I worked at RJ and I am afraid of missing something.

I got the COBRA info and it says nothing about RJ paying any portion. If I elect to keep coverage the notice says that I have to return the paperwork along with a big hefty payment. If anyone has info about RJ paying that I may not have received please share.

Regarding the reply to this posting, I got a letter regarding continuation of Unum insurance coverage mentioning Raymond James. Not sure what this covers. I will appreciate if someone can please explain the Unum coverage?

if you sign the severance agreement after 10/15 you will get Cobra, you should have gotten some paperwork on this seperately in the mail this week.
