I saw where they are wanting people to sign up for the Go Team again. It's crazy they've laid off so much at all the locations they want people to travel all over the system to work. Crazy

If you're at a point that has enough people to allow anyone to be a part of a go team, then what your saying is we have excess people. That my friends can cause future layoffs at your point. Under no circumstances should anyone do this.
Plenty of scabs will though.
Transportation has been doing this pretty regularly. There are quite a few guys at our location traveling all over. The covid has been ramping it up big time.

Remember they can call you before your vacation to go, and just pay you for your vacation. Saw a friend of mine get messed up with this. Also quickest way to get fired is to be at another point where no one including management wants you there.
It's just window dressing. They have to offer it across the system. After the Nov.23 date they will call and offer Furloughed employees. I'm sure there are some needing Money/insurance. There are currently some furloughed Conductors on our division temporarly.
Just curious where this surplus of carmen are on the entire system? Where they can spare even one for any amount of time? I doubt there’s one student on the entire railroad. Just another genius management move.
It will become mandatory when they see no one signs up. And don’t give me any of this “the contract says they cant.” That hasn’t and won’t stop them from doing whatever they want. Good luck.

I think ns still thinks this job is so desirable it’s not a company that hires you to fire you with not even that good of pay after all the deductions the new 15 .00 minimum wage not too far behind screw ns I really think they are going bankrupt
