I thought you were fired in Texas several years ago.

I took both my Laptops, cables, keyboards, chargers and docks back to SAn Ramon - took about 5 mins and I got a Chain of custody document back as evidence

I know people who have screwed Chevron out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in furniture, vehicles and many other assorted perks, but nobody who tried to keep a laptop.

Consider it a blessing that you turn in your $500 laptop, instead of the company charging you $2,500 out of your severance. All those laptops will end up either in the trash or some 3rd world office.

Very easy. No receipt. Trust the process.

I left my laptop there. It was found and sent back to Wilmington for repairs.

Haha. No charge against severance. No receipt needed. Just turn it in.

I hope you weren’t so trusting as to turn in your laptop without getting a receipt of some kind. One mishap with it not being logged in correctly and the charge goes against your severance or final paycheck.

I did it last week. They had 3 tables with someone over each table collecting them. When I went, I was the only one there and it took about 2 minutes. Easy peasy.
