I’ve been at my store for years and I still enjoy it. Some may find that lame. I’m sure others will call me a s— up, yada yada yada. The thing is, the reason I enjoy it so much is because of my coworkers and dare I say it - the customers. I am a people person at heart, and while the job is repetitive and the company as a whole treats their employees horrible (I am not blind to the goings on) the customers and people I work with make it all bearable.

I worked for BBB for 8 1/2 years. Ran the windows dept to keep it within the top ten in sales in the company. Assisted everywhere else in the store as needed with proven increase in sales in all of the other depts. Trained other associates on the computer systems and products in all the depts. Assisted the customers with products and sales. Ordered stock for all the depts as needed. POG'd the department's and set up displays. And loved being needed throughout the company in other stores as well. Yet, one day assisted a customer with a huge sale, needed the assistance from another store. The senior manager didn't want to help. He called the district manager, and had me fired. Doesn't make sense. Still out of work a year and a half later. Found out the district manager was let go 3 weeks later, the senior manager still there. Went back to the store, very cold atmosphere throughout. New faces, no product knowledge, no customer service. Sad, so sad.
You not the only one!!! I love my job! It’s a lot of hard work and so many process need to continue to upgrade. We rolled out the new replin process and I love it! I love the fulfillment process. I’m excited to see what the new year brings for the company! I hope great things! I can say all this knowing that I may be in the next round to get laid off! At first it was hard to think they would just toss me aside! It’s business and they have to do what’s right for the company! Either way I’m prepared for whatever they throw my way!

I liked the customers and miss them. Some of the co workers were lazy and jaded.
