WRAL's lack of reporters is ridiculous. Same diversity garbage as every other business around. Made a big news announcement about promotions and new news cast. A big production about promotions and the only ones in it...black women. Pretty much the same for any business out there. So, what to expect from Cisco's earnings will be about more restructuring, more removal of white males, more hiring of drastically lower skilled people of color (not all, but to push this new hiring craze), and wonder why they fail as a company.
I remember when people were hired for their abilities and success regardless of skin color and gender. Now, it doesn't matter how successful you are if you are in one group and how horribly unsuccessful you are in another group. If you fit a color and gender specification you are gold now.
You misunderstand earnings calls...
There are two goals:
- convince a bunch of spoilt NY’er whizz kids to not pull out the money they manage
- not tell the employees anything beyond “keep working until we’re rid of you”

Ya, well no big surprises there, since several buildings in SJC are already closed. I guess they are planning to move the headquarters to Delaware? Hopefully we will know more today. Everyone is working from home, so it is hard to say what we can expect from this announcement. Probably more of the same.
