Thing is if it had of been you or me making such a huge mistake in our job we would be gone. I agree she seems nice and all, but she needs to move on and we someone new. Just a fresh start at this time would be nice.

Vicki is very nice and super approachable, easy to chat with in the elevator or wherever you might bump into her. She loves Oxy, spending most of her career here and wants to see us all succeed. I think she probably would have done things differently in hindsight but we don’t have all the info that they had when those decisions were made. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to try and manage an oil company in this environment and it is a shame that we took such a risk going into it. That said, if there had been no virus and oil prices went up, Vicki would be a shining star. She took a risk that she thought was in the best interest of the company and well, sometimes workover bits jump out of casing on risky wells. Cut her some slack, let her work to right the ship, Chazen is back behind the scenes, things will improve provided things for oil and gas improve.

So define corruption. Corruption normally implies illegal behavior in the US.

To the comment below..how about no? This women is as corrupt as it gets, disenfranchising her employees and shareholders by going around the vote to acquire APC at any cost whatsoever. Then karma hits in the form of covid and the entire company goes down since “we weren’t going to let it be taken away from us” what a joke oxy is now

Let’s hear some good things about VH for a change.

She needs to be gone and not replaced by an insider. Keep the good insiders, but many others need to go. In my group we have 3 VP levels between us and VH. Two need to just be directors and one VP reporting to the CEO. These titles are handed out like candy and a VP at Oxy is like a VP at a bank. Time to get her out of here and streamline management.

You are not respected or feared — only pity for you and your EC
You destroyed peoples savings and retirement plans and you dont seem to give a sh–
Most of your staff are in the hole and you come up with BAR? You ned to be bent over the conference room table and a BAR

Corporate friends. We are screwed together ok? VH isn't going to be fired. Yes she messed up royally. And funny enough, she is getting paid millions to do this. Big oil days are numbered. When a behemoth like exxon is struggling to stay alive, you know oil is in trouble. Biden is now potus. Fossil fuel has a huge target. And what VH did to oxy and depleted our cash vault... it is all but over for oxy. Stick around for the bankruptcy hearings if you like.

leaving VH in charge of this thing was like leaving my kids unattended for a few hours. The adult Chazen had to comeback to help cleaning out the mess in the kitchen. Unfortunately unrepeatable damage has been done. The kitchen is on fire!

She should. She gambled, she lost, she needs to go. I doubt that she’s doing anything since they brought Chazen back. I figure he’s calling the shots now. Just my guess.

Icahn needs more time to speed up CFO. Getting him ready to replace VH once her trial period expires. Nothing will save her

Whats interesting is that they are not completely buying up stock in large amounts. So even they understand the company is screwed. This is based on looking at the public information filed by the company.

She is clueless, along with the board and EC. Their perception of the world is completely different than what is reality. And of course, they are all in it for the $$ and their pride, so, no, they will have to be forced out which did not and will not happen. The misery they have collectively inflicted on this company is beyond words.
