Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Sooner than later

Per the rumor mill, it looks like the layoff will happen before the typical February timeframe. I've been hearing that they want people off the books before the end of the year. What have you heard?

@7pyl+17Lt8tiJ I was also fortunate to get laid off in Feb of 2019. I felt the weight of the world lifted from my shoulders. I found a work soon after my discharge and the first thing I realized is how toxic it truly was and still is at PepsiCo. I am with an employer who values their employees and am making substantial more than I was a PepsiCo. My thoughts are with all those waiting for the axe to fall. Know there is life after PepsiCo and know it can be and is better.

Fortunately I was laid-off Feb 2019 and was not left to wonder when the ax was to fall. With the hiring of JD I googled her employment history and input. Always outsourced after a couple years with the employer. Emptied drawers and cleaned off personal property from the desk and waited. That aside once I left I found myself working under much better management who realized that happy employees makes productive employees. Additionally my salary has increased by $40k. My point is outside of a substantial package there is no reason to wait for termination. Leave on your terms.

20 or 30 year veterans at Director or VP level will not be challenged by anyone, including HR.

Bottom line they prefer to write it off in 2020 budget instead of 2021.

This company does not care. They tell people what they think they want to hear. I was guided by a VP to submit concerns to the Speak Up line. The same VP that brags about PepsiCo values all over LinkedIn. I was terminated the next wave after that. Coincidence ??? I think not.

Right before the Holidays after a miserable year for the world. These people are heartless. Fortunately I’m close to retirement and can get out of this overgrown junk food house of horrors
