Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

IOL is stranded assets at these prices

IOL is in the same situation today as pulp and paper was 10 years ago, and it was a bloodbath - for the employees. The future of hydrocarbon development is Guyana, Brazil, Mozambique, New Guinea, insert low cost producer. Not North America. You simply can't compete. Enjoy a hellish slide down the hole of reduced wages, reduced benefits, mergers, layoffs, and lies. It's all been done before. Even Hibernia may be under review as they've stopped drilling, which is the only future for that aging facility. Temporary stoppage?...we'll see...

It's over.
