Does anyone else get the feeling the company spies on them through their company computer and phone while working? I mean, it’s their equipment so they can’t technically do what they want but I’ve had a number of coworkers complain to me that they feel like big brothers constantly looking over their shoulder. Some have even voiced concerns that the company’s monitoring their personal home network and cellphone which is highly unethical. Trust is low as are ethics.

Home network, no they can't and don't monitor you. They cannot monitor phone calls. They can monitor your Allstate Meetings. But if you are using a device on their corporate network, yes your traffic is recorded and can be reviewed. They tell you that evetyrime you log into your Allatate computer.
To the person saying managers can’t monitor your screen or audio live - you are unfortunately incorrect. I used to be in workflow and you can 100% live monitor screens and audio through Verint
I have seen where another employee complained to management that a co-worker was having a relationship with another co-worker in the same department. While neither was in a position of power over the other, one could give favoritism to the other's results by the nature of their position. Management went through the whole IM history and showed it to both employees. Printed it out. You know that they were watching the IMs from that point on. Also if you talk about your manager or higher up managers, they are watching. So hard not to gossip when you are no longer in an office, but that's what cell phones are for.
I understand monitoring my computer but my personal cell phone that is not a company phone shouldn’t be monitored.
They absolutely 💯 CAN monitor your work, telephone and even your keystrokes and IM conversations. Anyone who says they can't is either completely ignorant or telling a bogus lie. I've seen it AND experienced it.
When you login to the Allstate system you're giving permission to do just that.
Guys... whoever said managers can monitor your screen and audio? We can't. We can only do the screen when you screen share in Teams or Zoom. We CAN do service observes on your phone line, but nobody is sitting watching you in your underwear. FWIW I am impacted, too.
They MAY monitor web traffic (haven't seen this) but they aren't turning on your camera and watching your every move.
Be careful what you email, though. There is a filter checking what you send to your personal email to make sure you don't send PI or work product. Doing so could void any severance.
What? Is English your first language?
Power button. And this has occurred to re my home network. Yes.
“Drop the mic”.....what a tool
There needs to be more respect between employees and employer. Invasion of privacy with 24/7 robo-surveillance = a gross lack of respect for the employees. Let humans be humans and don’t treat them like slaves.
Grow up. The fact that you posted this is suspicious that you’re doing something wrong. It is their software it is their hardware and you have to follow the rules of any company that lets you use their equipment. “ Drop the Mic “, signing out.
Important things to remember about your company computer and that is put tape over the camera when not using it, and always were pants.
Managers in claims have been able to do this even while not working remotely. A few years ago my manager even held it over my head and said I’m “on watch” only to find that I exceeded her paltry expectations. They can look at your screens, hear what you’re saying, but not sure if they can tap into your cameras. Better safe than sorry. Lol that mute button doesn’t go very far
Point well taken. As expressed many times on this site, without a union to back civil treatment of employees, they could flog you in the square with your low stats and no one could do anything about it. You are powerless without representation. Spy away Allstate. Spy away! By the way, if your employees do attempt to unionize after the first of the year, it’s illegal to interfere with their meetings. Ya know what I mean TW?
