Do you guys think with a new wave of coronavirus hitting that they will wave points for coronavirus again

Probably not because people abused it and that’s why we can’t have nothing nice. Doesn’t make sense though it is now cold and flu season and we are going to get penalized for calling out if we need to because people abused the call off option when there were no points being given. There would be people at my store that would show up 1 or 2 days out of 5 for weeks on end. Ridiculous if you don’t want a job quit. I feel the people that abused it should have gotten coaching for performance, yes you can’t get attendance occurrences but there should of been write ups for job performance. Again those people are the reason we can not any anything nice and the good people pay for their stupidity now in the cold and flu season bubbly being able to call off!
As of Oct. 1st, points have been reactivated. You can no longer call in for one or two days here or there and choose the Covid option. In order to have points forgiven now, you are required to be on Covid LOA and file a claim with Sedgwick – for an illness longer than three days. You do have to call in everyday for the Covid leave – and there are various levels– with or without pay, depending on which leave you are taking. If you have a DM that has been taking leave since March, then they are on Covid LOA. I suppose it is possible they have enough sick time to cover all of this time off – especially if they have longevity – but it probably isn't likely. Corporate has approved Covid LOAs until January, 2021.
They basically still are giving associates a free ride for occurances. All you have to do is choose covid19 when calling in and there are no occurances. One of our food DM's has called in every day since the end of March and has continued to since the policy updated. He has been choosing the covid 19 option and is not getting occurances. He wasn't chosen for a team lead so he's loosing his position anyways.
