Now that district teams have been eliminated the regional teams are taking their place. Our store hasn't had a manager that wasn't on leave for two years because the job and ever changing leadership is so bad. We had a less than stellar visit from our third different regional this year and now her team is coming back out to hold meetings and work projects for a week and their pulling in people from all over the state just a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving.
We are really looking forward to having a bunch of people driving in from around the state where covid is on the rise and flying a bunch more in from other states on planes so we can all work together on projects and sit through meetings with what is sure to be little chance for social distancing given the number of people coming. Can't wait to have all of them wandering around a building they don't know, to tell us how to do our jobs during the pandemic while we attempt to get ready for black friday.
If we're saving money it's not happening here, flying regionals out for a week and pulling in leaders from around the state to attend meetings and work on projects that we could do if we were staffed and scheduled enough help to do the work. Can't spend the payroll but no problem spending money on travel.
It's impossible keeping up with all of the things a stores supposed to do when we are missing leaders and aren't allowed to schedule the help needed to get it done, especially when we spend so much time on video calls and attending meetings. We continue to reduce spending but haven't figured out how to reduce unnecessary workload and time spent getting ready for unrealistic visit expectations.
