That is not at all what I was expecting. I figured they would cut all the higher paid SIRA and maybe some IRA positions.
Do you know which RMBC managers were let go? Not actual names, but the regions they are over?
Band 2 is RA. Basically if you were hired this year or last year and haven't been promoted then you've been let go. Even some people that have been working towards being promoted doing the same work.
I am wondering who is going to do the work because the volume will be the same....just a lot less people. In some cases a lot less training.
What is Band 2 considered? IRA? SIRA?
What was band 2 salary wise? Was it the RA level?
Band 2 in RMBC gone. 60 day notice. Was a group call. Very cold, very nerve wracking since the email came 2 hours earlier stating private email scheduling the group call. Poorly handled. Very insensitive.
There are less stressful jobs that start out as much as they hire people in. Go work at target or Amazon for $15 an hour, guaranteed less stress.
We going to be doing their job for the same pay. What else is new.
If you received an email, is it individual or a group that’ll be let go at once?
I am thinking of all of my fellow underwriters through this tough time. We are one Allstate. One rmbc. If you are not kept, take your skills elsewhere where you will be valued. This isn’t the end.
My coworkers have in a way became close and like family of sorts. I’d hate to see any of them go knowing they have families to feed.
Guys. I am sooooo nervous. I have been here almost 4 years and have always performed at at least expected. I know we are all replaceable, but my gut is wrenching.
RMBC here too. Hearing the cuts are pretty extensive. I would gladly merge with another area if I am kept.
Merging is still better than being let go, but here’s to hoping I have a job by the end of the day
