Walmart? Frying pan to fire!!! Walmart has a reputation of employing many, but at lower pay than average. And yes, they may be currently hiring for higher pay per hour for PT associates. But they have reduced number of managers at various levels. Mid level managers were reduced to lower level capacity. And those in previous trading mode, (if not on they’re way to key holder, it’s granted!). Why not go to Amazon, Nike, or back to school? Retail and their suppliers are in DTC mode.
Our store lost two managers in one week. They both went to Wal Mart. Our entire cosmetics team is gone, and they hired a new girl who worked two weeks then didnt show up.
Leaving there my stress level went from 10 to 0 .
Same thing happening everywhere. When we were called back from furlough in May we stepped into a nightmare. The "have to do it because I need the money" rationale isn't a good enough reason to stay anymore. Managers and associates are even leaving without replacement jobs. They just want out. New hires work a few days then are never seen again, or don't even show up to start.
