Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox Employees VS HCL

Are any of you that were transferred to HCL seeing a difference in your workload or treatment compared to your Xerox counterpart? Example - You're doing 80% while your Xerox counterpart does 20%. Have any of you heard of going back full time - 40 hours - beg. of November? I ask because I heard about it recently and some said they were close to the end of the second 90 day period. Has anyone heard about this as the date or is it going to be pushed back for a third time?

There really isn’t a “versus” in this.
It’s more like two points of present states.
It’s Xerox employees in one state and HCL employees are the other state and in all of it, if you are still Xerox, then Mother Xerox is just looking for any way it can to make you HCL.
You are all HCL in time, or something like it, so do as little as you need to in staying employed because you owe them nothing and they already gave up on you. Your fate was decided the second Johnnie V came in.
Just get out
It’s the only answer for your best interest

Why would anyone support the enemy "HCL". They are life s—ing leach.. Worst decision Xerox made in decades.

Those of you that are Xerox. Why havent you quit? You are less necessary and more expensive to keep now. You will likely be let go sooner than HCL.

My question to those of you that are HCL, why haven't you quit? They are not keeping you, why support them any longer.

I was transferred to HCL and I have had a drop in workload. Instead of me working 12 hour days for Xerox trying to maintain things I just clock in for my 8 hours with HCL and say frig it since they will not pay me for OT. I just let things pile up now.

Of course Covid helped put everything back on track since there was such a drop in workload but its now starting to pile up again with things picking up.

None of this matters until the customers catch on

The topic was about onshore hcl vs Xerox not offshore hcl vs Xerox. Yes the onshore hcl outperform both Xerox and offshore hcl.

@1pxv....our core too.....HCL AR is clueless, they don't know to post the pass thru from leasing companies, they have no idea how to check if a lease funded, there are hundreds of invoices open, some back over 1/2 year.....nobody is overseeing anything....it's just comical......

There is a core that has not had any lease payments applied for months and when a customer doesn’t pay, they cancel them. With no regard to a lease or not. The few, literally few people left are not allowed to do any AR, unless the customer is p-ss-d off. Then HCL will tell the core to handle it.

HCL, it is a disaster, XBS southwest is in dire straights, India team screwed something major up bigtime, hundreds of thousands of dollar type screw up....nobody offshore can meet goals....so now Xerox, as much as they want to axe the onshore HCL, can't because they need the competent ones.....I am not bragging but I could easily do the work of 5 offshore workers....I could but I don't, I do the bare minimum now, I owe Xerox nothing!!!!!

I'm with Xerox direct and the work we outsourced to HCL is a disaster. No quality, not meeting the LOS, etc.

I’m willing to bet that the reduction in hours will continue. My take is Xerox dumped the employees to HCL as a cost saving measure based on what HCL told them. HCL did no due diligence on the some of roles and as a result, they couldn’t replace the ex Xerox people with Bots or 17 year olds making 43¢ an hour. So the cost savings didn’t materialize. So Xerox in its desperate slash and burn state, told HCL to cut costs by X%. So HCL still needs the ex Xerox employees to get the work done so they cut their hours and hope many will still work 40 hours but not get paid for it. If you’re with HCL my recommendation is to get out of there ASAP. You’re caught in the middle of a id–tic contract between two clueless companies. Look out for number 1, you.

Be honest with yourself. Do you really think anyone pushed off to HCL will ever come back to Xerox? Both are dying companies. Find another job while you can. Best of luck to you!
