Anyone else hear the next big round of full timers being let go is real real soon?

If you think about it, the 63 stores closing after Christmas, with the exception of managers, all of the employees should be let go. Once the other 137 stores are scheduled after that, the rest of those employees will also be gone.
Actually not tenure employee (no one is) but thanks for thinking so highly of me
The entire IT department is gone after Jan 1.
They outsourced to India
The reason you cannot keep up with freight is that you are getting it from the stores that are closing. Don't flatter the company.
Disagree managers were let go 2 years ago right before the end of the year.
It can happen anytime but before year end...dec 31st is last day they have to match your 401K
This link is not proof of anything, though what will be said is definitely worthy of interest. Business decisions, such as personnel, etc, are made in meetings of the board of directors, not presentations for outside investors. Also, remember "end of the year" means end of the fiscal year (end of February 2021). Anything can happen any day, but full push holiday season has not been, historically, the time for cuts.

You guys are paranoid. But the same thoughts we had. I for one don't think our store will be shutting down. Look at the extensive amount of freight...we can't keep up with it. We never had to cancel trucks, but now its at least once a week.
Our store is also a permanent fulfillment store. Our sales go out the back door, and not the front door. Yes, we do get sales credit for orders, so that's keeping us going.
And now all stores will become temporary fulfillment????? Is this true ?

"Not a surprise. My store has been talking about something happening in October."
- Virtual Investor Day on the 28th of Oct.
- Here we go again.... tenure employee freaking out. You want job security leave retail especially a struggling retail that is in a midst of a huge reconstruction of it's core business model.
- More layoffs are coming, 200 underperforming stores are closing in the next 2 yrs
- Cost Plus is up for sale
I am sure before the end of the year so they do not have to match our 401K for the year.
