You’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top.
You know he/she didn’t get there by himself/herself, he/she doesn’t belong up there, he/she doesn’t know what to do while up there, he’s/she’s elevated beyond his/her ability to function and you just wonder what dumba__ put him/her up there to begin with.
That explains quite a bit about O&G company management/executives that I’ve seen in my 40 years in the industry.
Luckily I found my niche as an SME and a mentor to young technical people.
