BN Loyalty

I find it funny that there are still employees at BN and in general that are loyal to companies. No corporation will ever help you as an employee, they are there to make money. I have worked for BN twice and had to do unsafe jobs that OSHA would have a field day if they found out. I was treated like c-ap by every manager and most of the employees, and had my hours cut to 4 hours/week. After the hours cut, I walked mid-shift. It is OK if you are not loyal to BN, they don't care if you walk away. There are better paying jobs out. Leave BN before they leave you. They are closing soon, and they will be merciless when they start firing people. Leave before it is too late.

I keep hearing that there will be a liquidation sale starting in Fe or March of 2021. This is just a bad rumor. We are doing great at our Paramus store. GREAT TEAM! We have our regulars and steady customers. Let's be a little more loyal to the team, guys. Go B&N!

WE are NOT being told lies at the Paramus store. Our team is great. I've been ther for years and it's a flagship store for hte company. Everyone was hired back that was reliable

I work there. You think we’re all loyal. We know the lies we’ve been told. Most of us will be gone as soon as things open more & we can get other jobs.

I worked with her too, she and her "mentor" went after many of the women who worked there. They forced many to leave. What a horrible place with a very bad reputation!

I’m also from the Framingham store,
and LJ is a really strong manager.

There’s some s-xist dope from her previous
store, trolling on here, and she’s well aware of the situation and his personal jabs.

All I know is the whole staff really likes this woman and this guy is some sort of stalker.

I’m not a manager, but a part timer that got brought back.

And we do not have a cafe, for those saying we did.
It’s a separate Starbucks.

I’m from the Framingham store, and out manager is wonderful.
She’s smart, fair and honest.
If you work hard and show respect, the company will do right by you

I've never worked for any place as bad as B&N. So vicous, so much backstabbing, so many good people screwed. And the District Manager who does virtually nothing but scream at and blame store managers and send threatening emails, gets a promotion!

I totally agree & I’ve experienced a similar situation at my store. BN doesn’t give a rat’s azz about how long a bookseller has worked for them. Loyalty is never returned & managers engage in favoritism of the people who know how to s—k up to them.

I’m having difficulty finding work, but I’m trying to view the job loss as a blessing in disguise.

Down with the new CEO & down with BN p–p👎🏻
