After working for State Farm over 30 years in operations and retired, I did not know how much damage it caused. My suggestion to anyone who is caught up in the kool aid, STOP! Think about the anxiety, stress, and abuse you take in at both work and home. Think of how you treat others off the job because of what you take on the job. It's not a physical or mental safe place to work. Think long and hard about that when they move you back to the office after COVID. Is it worth it? It's up to you.

Watch what happens in the next four years. There's more money with better benefits for those willing to produce something physical and for the benefit of others without being a victim of mental illness.
Working at the farm for 5 years definitely made me dumber. I don't mean that in a condescending way, and I also must mention I had some great coworkers and many who were very smart and much more qualified than higher up, but the structure of the company and the segmentation of departments and roles is a repetitive nightmare. 5 years wasted at the farm melting my brain on other peoples' problems for nothing in return.
It’s interesting to see whose all getting titles and raises and promoted. Deceiving and inequitable did many
I worked there just shy of 30 years and lost my job due to changes. Would I have stayed only if I could have in the area I worked, would never have gone to claims. I am sure if you are in a HUB then things look much rosier than in Op Centers. For those newer people, less than 10 years you don't know the old SF and never will. Tipsord is taking that co down the wrong track.
After 30 1/2 years I retired and it was the best decision. I encourage those don't be like us old times and chase your dreams somewhere else.
@9ofl.....you have courage to speak the truth. They have no interest in the truth. So sad. So very sad.
I wish this place was like this 30 years ago when I started. I would not walk but run out. It was a great place to work, good pay, customers were happy, body shops were are best advertisement and it was free, agents and employees were happy and everyone made money. Now most are miserable and just trying to ride it out.
I’ve been at SF for 13 years and really like it. I haven’t had the experience of the OP. I literally have not a single complaint. I enjoy that work, the people, the hours. The benefits and the overall environment.
High credit to OP. He/she had courage.
I dont know him but is the truth spewing hate?
Can’t believe this OP is still spewing his hate, especially since he’s been gone several years now. Don’t let him fool you. He was forced into retirement because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. He only left because HR was about to step in.
Everyone in my unit is happy we get the job done, great benefits package good salary just do the job. See what it’s like on the outside we gotta a pretty good deal. Go out today and see what you get you will be surprised, I have never scene such whinners
"Sane."
Agreed! I am close to retirement
Sometimes what some see as sour grapes makes the finest wine without all the chemicals. Unlike cigars that ruin the air for everyone around them while making the smoker smell from nicotine and body odor. Blah!
Those are the ones that are coping with it bbn in reality. Think of how many are addicted and/or self medicating daily to cope.
It’s sad when you start comparing meds with your co-workers. Anti depressants, anti anxiety, therapy, physical and mental exhaustion. And you start seeing that no one cares. I think more and more of us are starting to Wake up and think the hell with it.
Sour grapes.
