I also head that a lot of people will their jobs because they only plan to keep Commercial products here for now. I also head that they will be having massive layoffs soon. Has anyone else also heard these rumors?

Only an id–t or bail out clown would be interested in selling off ComRes or A&S (Software?, Really?). Historically these two divisions have supplied cash to the mother ship when the other was flat.
What should be of interest is the management to purchase companies with no true intellectually sound products and to forego the capitalization and initiative to develop products from the ideas they already "own". Too expensive? How's the bottom line purchasing "software" companies and then cutting them loose? To the point of needing ComRes and O&G going flat, A&S sells quite a bit into pharma, which is rolling in inflated dough right now. LG doesn’t need to buy market share. They will get it with their superior products and competitive pricing. Lunacy that Emerson expects a premium on a commodity product.
