Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Colorado MCO

4 unrepped adjusters were laid off and one quit. Maybe we were just lucky, but I am glad all four of them were chosen. One of them was so bad they had to transfer her to UM TDY a few months ago. It is going to hurt taking over their tranferred claims, but at least in our MCO, these layoffs are going to make a positive impact in the long run. Good riddance!

Most here - well, mainly comments from CO, MO & GA - sound like you have no clue. Our ECs (and yours) agree. I too wonder what quality of work your MCOs put out looks like. UM(Injy) ain’t a walk in the park dear. Come to Florida with bad faith on both um/uim AND bi, CRNs, pip/set offs/pip fee schedule etc and see what real claims handling is about, then say you’re happy people are gone. Shameful. This is unfortunate for all. Especially the leftovers to assume the workload - messy or not. Then happy holidays to you with PTOs. You should also anticipate another wave of lay offs come 2021 NGHC acquisition. Shapiro did this at SF & don’t let naivety take over and think for one second he’s finished here. Best of luck to all of you who feel any of this was a good decision!

Everyone doesn’t deserve to loose their jobs. If it was you and everyone else on this post who agrees you wouldn’t be saying this.

Well maybe if they weren’t so busy answering your queue calls and handling calls you transfer to them they would have been able to slide by on their stats like you M.M.

All you little MCO's will be getting closed down in 2021. No later than 2022, but the bonuses will be bigger for the SR VP’s if the final shut downs can be accomplished in 2021. You are too expensive to maintain, and there are too many long term folks still around. You are not needed within the 4 zones. Unless you are a zonal Hub you will be closed. This is just the first round of lay offs to get everyone accustomed to the idea and to get more to leave voluntarily to avoid more severance payouts. Don’t get too comfortable. Glenn, Eric and Tom and their chiefs are gunning for ya.

They were probably high all day. I work in unrepped major in the Kansas City MCO and wish they shut that whole office down!

Same here in Atlanta office. Probably 85% of those chosen don’t belong at Allstate. Executives had to make a tough decision, but I think it was the right one for the company
