I am a ME and we have been working from home every other day since April. The days we are home we don't do anything except check email. Most of us don't even bother
The furloughs helped us at least appear productive. Now without that extra day off we look increasingly useless without being able to claim we spent an entire day 5S'ing onsite. I know one person who seems to just miss shifts without his manager even knowing.
Luckily, I have some options and also others in my group saw the warning signs of not having work to do and already left
