Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Returns

Returns in our store are out of control! I have to work the return area frequently and it stays slammed,. The lines are often 10-15 deep and filled with angry and frustrated customers. We have no staff to put the returns back when they come out of quarantine. Currently we have 12 z-bars and several bins full that need to go the floor. It's a nightmare down there every time I work. And of course you are by yourself there all day!

Anonymous, I think I prefer the fitting rooms closed because during the holidays associates barely have time to check them. Plus, some customers don't understand the difference between a fitting room and a restroom. If the stuff was final sale I think Belk would lose a lot of customers. A lot of stores haven't opened fitting rooms yet. Besides, a good portion of these customers come back the next day anyway. I see the same folks every day, I pick BOPIS items for the same customers every day.

Belk needs to open the fitting room and change their return policy. It's dumb having customers return 70% off stuff, it should be final sale, Belk is also attracting the goodwill customer base with this cheap stuff.
