I work in a rdc, my regular shift is Monday-Thursday ,6am-4:30pm, we have been placed on mandatory it Friday,-Sunday with the days rotating each weekend. If we have already planned something for the weekend we have to use our vacation time to be off. I work in the mods, we don't have enough work to last all day on our regular shift, so we end up cleaning everyday, they won't vto us, they still make us go in to do an ot shift even tho we have nothing to do. They say that we are at 1 mil on the yard but where is the work. Are they any other rdc experiencing this?

It’s so laughable—actually it’s RIDICULOUS— that anyone from a store would criticize another Lowe’s employee who “seems” to have it better! You may not all be in the same boat, but you may all go down together.
They don’t own us, they are treating us like endutured servants. I have my availability, if they schedule me beyond close, I’m signed out and walked out before they lock you in at close and keep you for how ever long they want. I don’t stand around and chat and get the work done in my area by close.
Spending time away from the job keeps my sanity so I don’t say something during my shift. Plus minimum wage type job not worth giving up my life.
They can solve all the product in the queue other ways, all they care about is SALES, getting more product to stores, what it does to the low level associates is irrelevant. They should hire contract/temp workers for weekend shifts.
Just say no, you have commitments on weekends you can’t get out of.
So, we at the store work every weekend, get one off per every 2 months, and usually work clopens twice a week. I resent your whining about extra pay you get. We are not allowed overtime. Have you ever been sent home at noon on Thursday so you can work extra on Friday? Get real. (And if you are in charge of loading a truck please make a better effort to not make it look like it was loaded with a wood chipper)
Not sure on that one, Seems we are getting overwelmed with freight coming into the store though. We have top stock stacked to the rafters.
