I have an opportunity to make a career change. I would be working on straight commission as a service advisor at an auto dealership. The low end pay I would be bringing in would be like working 28-30 hours a week at Belk, middle would be 40, and upper would be well beyond that. I'm nervous about not getting an hourly wage though. With the iffy shape that Brlk is in, should I make the jump now while I have the opportunity or just wait it out? I've been wanting out if retail and this seems like a great opportunity.

You will always get some valuable experience plus learn new things on any new job. It will actually make you more versatile for your next job if this one does not work out.
